Sri Vijayeendra Theertha
Gurusarvabhouma was a great ascetic, a jewel in Dvaita vedanta, an embodiment
of quietism, an expert in 64-arts (Chatuhshashtikala kovida), a great author, a
prolific writer, an unconquerable debater, possessing power of enduring other
religions/philosophies, protector of ancient religion, a great Haridasa, a
great follower of Hari Sarvottamatva and one of the greatest devotee of Lord
SriHari.
Shri Vijayeendra Theertharu who
entered brundavana on the sacred day of Jyeshta Bahula Trayodasi, is considered
as one among Rujugana devata.
This great mahatma took birth as
Vithalacharya by the special blessings of Shri VyasaRjaru to an old aged couple
and was nourished by Shri Vyasarajaru himself and studied all shastras from him
and took asceticism from him by name Vishnu Theertha. Thereafter, he was gifted
to Shri Surendra Theertharu by Shri Vyasarajaru and then, he became Shri
Vijayeendra Theertharu.
It is said that Sri Vijayîndra Tîrtha is an
incarnation of Sri Vibhudendra Tîrtha who was the `vidyA-guru' of Sri Sripâda
Raja. This is explained in Sri Vijayîndra Vijaya (Glory of Sri Vijayîndra
Tîrtha) as shown below.

Sri Sudheendra Theertharu (Vidya
Guru of beloved Sri Guru Rayaru) became successor of Sri Vijayeendra
Theertharu.

Sri Vijayeendra Theertharu was
Parama Guru of Sri GuruRayaru who had also met Sri Vijayeendra Theerthru before
taking up Sanyasa Deeksha.

Sri Vijayeendraru's
contribution to land, language, culture and madhwa siddhanta is immense. He
made Kumbhakonam as his place of work after defeating a Shaiva ascetic by name
Lingarajendra and securing the complete administration of all temples at
Kumbhakonam under the rulership of Thanjavur Nayaks.

bringing the age-old sage's time live by his exhibition of Chatuhshashtikala
(64-arts) and performing unbelievable miracles by his divine power and thus,
proclaiming the greatness of Lord SriHari!
The unconquerable Shri
Vijayeendraru was the real lion of Madhwa-Siddhanta who defeated Shri Appayya
Dixita, a great scholar who had mastered Chatuhshashtikala, authored hundreds
of granthas and was feared by most of the scholars to debate!
Sri Vijayeendra Theeratharu was a
great scholar who authored 104-grunthas and cleared several problems that did
arose at that time to Madhwa siddhanta. He was a great Haridasa who created
hundreds of Dasapadas and thus nourished Haridasa tradition.
With the blessings of Lord Sri
Hari and esteemed Guru Acharya Madhwa, Sri Vjayeendraru derives more than 100
etymological interpretations of the distinguished word "Narayana".
Shree Vijayeendra teertharu has
given us so many granthas, whose study will enable us to tackle any kind of
AKSHEPA, objections over MAdhwa siddhanta by anyone anywhere in any era.
A great Yogi Sri Vijayeendra
Theertharu who on the auspicious time (Jyeshta Bahula Trayodasi) sat in
Yogamudra and left the physical body through yogic path.
He has his divine presence in his
brundavana even today and is ever merciful towards his devotees who has kept
faith in him.

Meaning: Sri Vijayindra Tirtha is
