Sri Vijayeendra Theertha Gurusarvabhouma was a great ascetic, a jewel in Dvaita vedanta, an embodiment of quietism, an expert in 64-arts (Chatuhshashtikala kovida), a great author, a prolific writer, an unconquerable debater, possessing power of enduring other religions/philosophies, protector of ancient religion, a great Haridasa, a great follower of Hari Sarvottamatva and one of the greatest devotee of Lord SriHari.

Shri Vijayeendra Theertharu who entered brundavana on the sacred day of Jyeshta Bahula Trayodasi, is considered as one among Rujugana devata.

This great mahatma took birth as Vithalacharya by the special blessings of Shri VyasaRjaru to an old aged couple and was nourished by Shri Vyasarajaru himself and studied all shastras from him and took asceticism from him by name Vishnu Theertha. Thereafter, he was gifted to Shri Surendra Theertharu by Shri Vyasarajaru and then, he became Shri Vijayeendra Theertharu.

It is said that Sri Vijayîndra Tîrtha is an incarnation of Sri Vibhudendra Tîrtha who was the `vidyA-guru' of Sri Sripâda Raja. This is explained in Sri Vijayîndra Vijaya (Glory of Sri Vijayîndra Tîrtha) as shown below.
