We come across this personality VAAMANA of the Supreme Godhead Lord Vishnu that was fifth in the line of Dasavatharas. This avathara took place during Tretha Yuga before Sri Parashurama Avathara. Lord VaAmana was born as son of Sage Kashyapa (Kashyapa Prajapathi) and his wife Adithi in accordance to the penance performed by the couple and prayers of IndraAdi Devatas.
