When Sri MoolaRaAma Devaru walked in...
Hari Sarvottama -
Vaayu Jeevottama - Sri GuruRaajo Vijayate
Ø Way back in the year 1967 (56 years back…)
On an auspicious evening my Father (late) was in his
clinic (a Medical Doctor), one learned Madhva Bramhana introducing himself as
Deewan of Mantralaya Matha walked into his clinic and requested my father
whether he can arrange for stay of H.H. Sri Sujayeendra Theertharu (the then
Swamiji of Mantralaya Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matha) and for conducting Sri
Moola-Raama Devara Pooja, nithya vidhi of Sri Swamiji etc.
[Preamble…
In those days there were no established representation of
any Madhva Matha at our place to manage Yathi's visit. On inquiry, my Father's
name was referred as he was a popular Madhva personality in the town belonging
to Sri Rayara Matha.]
It was the first visit of Sri Sujayeendra Theertharu to our
place and there was no prior parichaya also to my Father. It so happened that
my father was totally caught unawares as there was no prior indication about
H.H. Sri Swamiji's visit.
My Father, readily agreed, limitations were,
staying in an old house, not spacious enough to
accommodate H.H. Swamiji and Parivara. No time for preparation and making other
arrangements as H.H. Swamiji had already landed in town and was temporarily
staying in the State Guest House;
In consultation with the Deewan, a makeshift arrangement
was made by completely vacating our house for,
H.H. Swamiji's stay and His nitya Vidhi, (Swamiji used to
stay/rest in upstairs), conducting Sri Moola-Raama Devara Pooja (in the ground
floor)
Took the help of two nearby Madhva temples of Mukhya
Prana for stay of Parivaara, cooking, and Bramhana bhojana etc...
everything was arranged by themselves with Sishya Brunda
taking full control for four days with hectic religious/spiritual activity like
a Jaatara amidst beating of big drums (Nagaara) in-front of the house, chanting
of Veda-Mantras.
My father along with our relatives went to State Guest
House with Mangala-Vaayidya to invite H.H. Swamiji and Sri Moola-Raama Devaru
with all honours (Poorna-Kumbha)
It was divine blessings and our poorva punya bhaAgya when
Sri Guru RaAyaru showered his anugraha/grace on our family through Sri
Sujayeendra Theertharu of Mantralayam when he walked in to our house along with
Sri Moola RaAma Devaru;
stayed with us for four days and performed Sri Moola
RaAma Devaru Pooja etc.,
it was a big event/festive occasion every day with
several devotees participating from vicinity for Theertha Prasada;
It was a pleasant surprise, dream come true for all of
us; Sri GuruRaayara Leela. Along with my Father we were all blessed and
fortunate having witnessed/present during that occasion and had blessings of
Sri GuruRaayaru antargata MoolaRaama Devaru through Sri Sujayeendraru.
After this event whenever H.H. Sri Sujayeendra Theertharu
visited our place He used visit our house, sometimes stay also.
My father was a staunch devotee of Sri Guru Raayaru and
it is gratifying to mention that when he passed away the last word that came
out of his mouth was RAGHAVENDRA. [I am a
living witness during the last moment of his life]
In his Philanthropic pursuit, he donated for construction
of a cottage at Mantralayam during the tenure of Sri Sujayeendra Theertharu.
There are several such incidents/events that unfolded in my Father's
life/in our family. Who were all his associates etc. and to write about in one
post will be a long thread. Certainly it is happening/happened due to
apaara karuna/krupa/kataaksha of parama dayaalu Sri GuruRaayaru.
To describe glory, significance, merits, leela... of Sri
Guru RaAyaru "kEna sHakyate" - one can feel it, rather experience it,
every day, every moment is Sri GuruRaayara leela, anugraha.
