If Sri RaghavendraStotra spell out mostly the merits of worshiping Sri GuruRayaru, Sri Raghavendra Mangalashtaka describes mostly the glory & attributes of GuruRaayaru. Both composed by Sri #Appannacharya are gems that came out from his desk, a great service to devout society.

Sri Raghavendra Mangalashtaka comprises of NINE slokas (9th one is Phala-Sruthi);

In the first sloka Sri Appannacharyaru is giving us in brief, an estimate of the credentials of Sri GuruRaAyaru;

2nd sloka, he is giving us an estimate of the divine, ascetic lineage of Sri GuruRayaru & His debating capabilities with his opponents.

3rd sloka is giving us an idea/estimate of the depth of Guru RaAyaru's knowledge & type of devotees serving him.

4th sloka, Sri Appanacharyaru is extolling and giving us an estimate of Mantralaya (the abode of Guru Sri Raaghavendra) on the banks of holy river Tungabhadra.

5th sloka, briefly gives an idea of the majestic personality of Sri GuruRaAyaru;

6th sloka, spells out the merits of worshiping Sri GuruRaayaru;

7th sloka gives us in brief an idea of literary heritage of Sri GuruRayaru emanating from Sri VedaVyasaru;

In the 8th sloka Sri Appannacharyaru briefly gives us an idea of the glory of Sri GuruRaayaru who is preceptor for one of the most saAttvic group of Vaishnavas, an ascetic par excellence;

In 9th sloka (Phala-Sruthi) Sri Appannacharyaru says, this sacred, auspicious & meritorious hymn "Sri Raghavendra Mangalashtaka" is capable of instantly destroying the accumulated sins (sadyaḥ pāpaharaṁ) of Devotees... who regularly/daily recite this during the three SandHyakaala, with sincere devotion, faith & surrender at the lotus feet of Sri GuruRaAyaru, they will be blessed/bestowed with,

abundant & good wealth (suddha dravya);

good power/position/status;

Long life; yashas/fame;

good spouse/marital life;

talented/capable children;

cordial relatives/friends;+

success in endeavors; well disposed;

and it is certain to achieve the above which is firm and long lasting.
