Sri Varaha Avathara is third in the line of Lord Vishnu’s celebrated DasaAvatharas that is purported to have taken place twice in this Kalpa. First one during Swayabhuva Manvanthara when Aadi-Hiranyaaksha was killed by Lord Vishnu in Aadi Varaha roopa and second one was in Chakshusa Manvanthara when Hiranyaaksha was born as son of Kashyapa Prajapati and Diti. First one is called Aadi Varaha or Sweta Varaha and second one is called Neela Varaha or Krushna Varaha. It is a Sathya Yuga (Krutha Yuga) avathaara.
