Sri Jayatheertharu (popularly known as Teekacharya) is revered as an Amsa-Avatara (partial incarnation) of Lord Indra, carrying the divine Avesha (possession/energy) of Adi Sesha. His journey across lifetimes reflects a profound spiritual evolution and an eternal bond with the Supreme God and His avatars.
The Cosmic Lineage: From Arjuna to the Holy Bull
During the Dvapara Yuga, he was born as the mighty warrior Arjuna from the Mahabharata. Despite his greatness, Arjuna momentarily harboured ego over his battlefield victories, forgetting that the Supreme Lord, Sri Krishna, was physically guiding him. To cleanse this subtle pride, he was destined to take his next birth as a Vrushabha (bullock).
The Devoted Vrushabha and Madhvacharya's Prophecy
As a bullock, he was blessed to serve Sri Madhvacharya, the founder of the Dvaita school of philosophy and third incarnation of MukhyaPrana (Vaayu Devaru). The Vrushabha faithfully carried Sri Madhvacharya’s sacred granthas (manuscripts) from village to village.
