Sri Jayatheertharu was considered as an AmsaAvathara of Indra and his aavesha was that of Aadi Sesha. In his previous birth it is said that he was a Vrushabha (Bullock) who used to carry the Granthas (scripts) of Sri Madhvacharya from place to place and also used to listen to the teachings of Sri Madhvacharya.

This Vrushabha in its previous birth was Arjuna of MahaBharata who had to take this (Vrushabha) birth for showing ego for his success in the war when Lord Sri Krishna the Supreme God was very much present by his side;

Sri Madhvacharya had a vision and also predicted that the same Bullock (Vrushabha) is going to write commentaries on his works.

What a great visionary Sri #MadhvacharyaRu was...!

It was Sri Akshobhya Theertharu Ashrama Gurugalu of Sri Jayatheertharu who asked Donduraya (poorvaAshrama naama of Sri Jayatheertharu) as "kIm pasHu pooRva dehEy" (a sort of divine reminder about his previous birth) that made him (DonduRaya) to recollect his previous births as Arjuna, Vrushabha and his association with Sri Madhvacharyaru in listening to his discourses.

Later DonduRaaya became Sri Jayatheertharu, transformed himself into TeekaRaayaru and went on to write great commentaries for the works of SriMadAachaaryaru.
