Shareeramaadhyam-Khalu-Dharmasaadhanam

This shareera (human form) has been bestowed on us by God for doing saadhana (saadhana shareera), not bhoga saadhana, but dharma saadhana. It is possible only in human form. Don't fritter away the opportunity.
Transforming the body from a vehicle of Bhoga (consumption) to an instrument of Sadhana (spiritual practice) involves a shift in how we perceive and use our physical and mental faculties.
Dharma Sadhana is the process of aligning every physical and mental action with universal righteousness (Dharma) to achieve spiritual evolution. While Bhoga is about consumption and outward indulgence, Dharma Sadhana is about using the body as a "holy centre" to fulfill one's spiritual purpose.
First and the foremost, follow VarnaAshrama dharma the traditional bed rock of Vedic life - all others will fall line.
Varnashrama Dharma is not merely a social structure; it is a sophisticated "map" for Sadhana that ensures a human being evolves systematically rather than randomly.
By following this roadmap, the Sharira (body) is put to its most efficient use at every stage of life.
श्रेयान्स्वधर्मो विगुणः परधर्मात्स्वनुष्ठितात् |
स्वधर्मे निधनं श्रेयः परधर्मो भयावहः ||
śhreyān swa-dharmo viguṇaḥ para-dharmāt sv-anuṣhṭhitāt
swa-dharme nidhanaṁ śhreyaḥ para-dharmo bhayāvahaḥ
(Bhagavad Gita - Karma Yoga - 3.35)
where Lord Sri Krishna warns Arjuna about the dangers of abandoning his nature.
It is better to perform one's own, even if imperfect, duty than another's perfectly. Dying in one's own duty is better than taking on the dangerous path of another.
Bhagavad Gita emphasize the supreme importance of following one's own duty (#Swadharma) over another's (#Paradharma).
